Luis Nunez, 83, of Bellevue passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at The Willows in Bellevue. He was born January 14, 1940, in Mexico, the son of Pedro and Isabel (Hernandez) Nunez.
Luis was born in Mexico and grew up working on the family farm. He moved to the United States and worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad in Bellevue until retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Clyde Apostolic Assembly where he enjoyed singing and worshipping God. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and accordion along with being out on the lake fishing. Luis loved to spend time with his family and two dogs, “Jo-be” and “Zuko”
He is survived by his siblings: Juan (Mary) Nunez of Bellevue, Pedro Nunez and Carmen Martinez of Mexico, Manuela Rodriguez of New Mexico, Lorenzo Nunez of Ohio, Lencho Nunez of Texas; nieces: Rebecca Similian and Adrianna O. Nunez of Bellevue; and nephews, Steve Nunez and Daniel Nunez of Bellevue.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters: Concepcion Carrion, Cenovia Cuellar, and Panfila Nunez; and brother, Armando Nunez.
A memorial service will begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at Clyde Apostolic Assembly, 160 W. Buckeye Street, Clyde, Ohio 43410. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is assisting with arrangements.
