Lisa Kay Hay, age 56, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was born September 9, 1964 in Bellevue, the daughter of the late J. Richard & Carolyn (Reaney) Pollock.
Lisa graduated in 1982 from Bellevue High School. She was a beloved teacher in the Bellevue City School District, teaching 3rd grade for 33 years. Lisa was a member of Bellevue Eagles Aerie 490 Auxiliary and served for many years on the Bellevue Recreation Board.
Lisa loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, being on the water, yearly vacations, and most of all spending time with her family. She was an avid Ohio sports fan with a fun-loving, competitive spirit herself, and never missed an opportunity to watch her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Lisa also loved her York and BES families dearly and cared deeply about her students throughout the years. To Lisa, nothing could be better than being around the ones she loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She had a way of making every moment special and was a bright light to this world.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Jeffery Hay whom she married Feb. 21, 1986, at Immaculate Conception Church, daughters, Erika (Travis) Heuser of Monroeville, Amanda Hay (Tony Pena) of Bellevue, Hanna (Bradley) Meekins of Bellevue, grandchildren, Easton & Tessa Heuser, Julian Pena, Bella Meekins, Brothers, John Pollock of Stow, Gary (Liz) Pollock of Bellevue, sisters, Deborah (David) Parker of Findlay, and Cheryl (Gene) Bush of Bellevue.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Pollock.
Friends will be received Monday, August 16, 2021 from 4 – 8 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A private family service will be held.
