Linda Garman, 83, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born May 30, 1940 in Bellevue, the daughter of William F. and Marcia (Evert) Gilbert.
Linda enjoyed quilting, singing and dancing. Family was everything to her and she enjoyed giving the best two cheek hugs around. Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dale, throughout the United States, and together not only did they bike from coast to coast but they also traveled all 50 states together. After Dale’s retirement, they enjoyed spending over twenty winters in Tucson, Arizona.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Garman, whom she married January 15, 1958 in Chester, South Carolina; two sons: Timothy E. (Nancy Peck) Garman of Troy, OH and Benjamin Dale (Rhonda Salenbien) Garman of Monroe, MI; grandchildren: Angie Dick, Cecilia (Audrey Beasley) Garman, Dale Garman, Evelyn Goodwin, Zachary Garman, Delanie Fahy, and Kendall Garman; great grandchildren: Dale Dick, Carly Dick, and Leighton Christian Fahy; and siblings: Glenn (Joyce) Gilbert, Gary Gilbert, and Marsha “Cookie” (Glen) Alkire.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her son, William Ivan Garman; and daughters: Donnora Lee and Katherine Marie Garman.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at Ebenezer Community Church, 7500 N Seneca County Road 29, Flat Rock, OH 44828. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Ron Ferguson will begin at 3 pm. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
