Lawrence A. Fleming, 78, of Clyde passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 3, 1946, in Bellevue, the son of the late Joseph and Nina (Gnepper) Fleming.
Larry was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School in the class of 1965, and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, Cleveland baseball, smoking meats, birdwatching, old westerns, and the Andy Griffith Show. Above all, Larry loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy G. (Meade) Newsom-Fleming of Clyde; children: Melissa (Josh) Tornow of Helena and Kasie (Jeremy) Kessler of Republic; step-children: Jaime (Orlando) Moreno of Clyde and Brent (Tayna) Newsom of Hilliard; 6 grandchildren: Robby Clouse, Tyler Clouse, Rachel Harrington, Dario Moreno, Katelyn Newsom, and Jayse Moreno; great-grandson, Luca Clouse; and siblings: Carol (Dennis) Haas of Toledo, David (Patricia) Fleming of Fremont, and Nancy (Chris) Baker of Alexandria.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Fleming, and grandson, Cayden Boogher.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 12:00pm until a funeral service beginning at 3:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
