Laura Ashleigh Newkirk

 Laura Ashleigh (Billman) Newkirk, 37,  daughter, wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly  on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

She was born on her Grandparents’ wedding anniversary on September 29, 1982 in Norwalk, Ohio.

She graduated from Bellevue High School in 2001, and became a licensed practical nurse in 2008. She had worked for Stein Hospice Care Center, and was currently employed at Otterbein Senior Life Community in Marblehead, Ohio.

She married Caine Newkirk, on July 30, 2005. They welcomed their son, Owen into their family June 11, 2009.

She is survived by her husband and son, her parents Beth and Doug Blair and Roy and Karen Billman; In-laws Linda and Mark Newkirk; sisters: Jillian (Derrick) Martin and Kendall Billman, sister in-law Kayla Newkirk, and brother in-law Ian Newkirk. She is also survived by a niece Hannah (Matt) Moodene, a nephew Michael Martin, along with so many other precious friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Bette Wiesler, Jean Thompson, CG and Dale Blair, and cousin, Rebekah Blair.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to contribute to her memory may do so through the Laura Ashleigh Newkirk Memorial Fund at any Firelands Federal Credit Union.
