Larry “Blackie” Black, 76, of Bellevue passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home. He was born August 28, 1944 in Haleyville, Alabama the son of Fred and Bivie (McBroom) Black.
Larry was a member of Eagles Aerie 490, VFW Post 1238, and the Clyde Moose. Throughout the years Larry worked for the Ohio Turnpike, Horn’s Crop Service, and also as a milkman.
He is survived by his two sons, Tim Black of Clyde and Fred (Tammy) Black of Bellevue; daughter, Michelle Hicks of Sandusky; grandchildren: Sarah, Cory, Ashlee, Marisa, Steffani, Haley, Savannah, and Heather; great grandchildren: Elyana, Sofia, Scarlett, James, Finley, Corvin, Callie, Jackson, Cody, and Elise; siblings, Lacy (Grace) Black of Fremont and Fay Lovins of Florida.
IN addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy (Warwick) whom he married on November 3, 1962 in Sandusky; a son, Michael “Spud” Black; and brother, Bill Black.
A graveside service will begin on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, 1793 W. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
