Lacey Black Obituary

Lacey W. Black, age 75 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at his home. Lacey was born February 16, 1947, in Haleyville, AL, the son of the late Fred and Bivie Black (McBroom).

Throughout Lacey’s life he enjoyed travelling, visiting 45 states, and wintering down in Florida. Lacey also was an avid racecar fan and could often be found at the Attica Raceway or Fremont Speedway. Above all, Lacey loved spending time with his grandkids.

Lacey is survived by his wife, Grace Black (Kohr), whom he married February 14, 1980, in Fremont; children: Laurie Black, William Black, and Thomas Black, all of Fremont; and grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Aubree, and Matthew.

In addition to his parents, Lacey is preceded in death by his brothers: Larry and Bill Black; and sister, Fay Lovins.

Services for Lacey will be held privately.
