Kenneth R. Ries

Kenneth R. Ries, 78, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at The Cleveland Clinic.  He was born August 19, 1944, in Bellevue, the son of Carl F. and Betty (Wobser) Ries.

Kenny was a 1962 graduate of Bellevue High School.  After graduation, he served in the United States Army from 1965-1971.  Ken was a retired contractor and member of the Iron Workers Local 55 Union.  Ken loved animals, especially dogs and was an avid horseshoe and dartball player.

He is survived by his brother, Tom (Rhonda) Ries of Bellevue; sister, Shirley Dick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brother, Fred Ries; and brother-in-law, Jerry Dick.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A funeral service will begin on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lyme Grange Cemetery.
