Kenneth Deppen Jr., 82, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was born September 22, 1942 in Norwalk, the son of Kenneth Sr., and Mary (Moser) Deppen.
Ken served in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for many local farmers and eventually became the owner of Deppen & Son Trucking where he retired in 2004. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed attending sporting events, reading and model car building.
Ken is survived by his wife, Elva (Laub) Deppen whom he married June 5, 1962 at Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue; daughters, Karen Palmer of Bellevue, Kathy (Arnold) Kath of Bellevue and son, Kevin (Jayme) Deppen of Norwalk; proud grandpa of his grandchildren: Janelle, Kris, Jordan, Marissa, Jared, Kileigh, and Dylan; great grandson, Braylen; and two sisters: Carol (Dan) Boies of Bellevue and Christine (Steve) Dendinger of DeLand,FL. Ken is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Deppen and sister, Diane Schank.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
