Keith Emery Cleveland was telling jokes, listening to 70’s music, giving hugs, and making memories right to the very end, when he passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Born on St. Patrick’s Day 1952, to Henry (Hank) and Mary Cleveland, he wore his last name with pride. Keith was a life-long fan of The Cleveland Cavaliers, The Cleveland Browns, The Cleveland “Indians” and OSU Football.
On July 14, 1973 Keith married Christine Leber, daughter of Marilyn Leber and the late Richard Leber, in Bellevue, Ohio, where they spent their 52 years of marriage. At that time he gained a sister-in-law, Geri Leber. He was a proud “dad” to two daughters; Tracy Heyman and Mindy Musser and was best friends with his sons-in-law Ron Heyman and Brad Musser.
Keith’s greatest honor and favorite title was being “Papa” to his five grandchildren; Megan Batey, Tyson Raymond, Valarie Heyman, Emma Raymond, and Alayna Raymond. Keith could strike up a conversation with anyone and make a new friend, but he never wanted to be the center of attention. To honor his wishes and allow his family their privacy, there will be no public visitation or service.
Condolences can be made to the family through private messages.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Sandusky County or Huron County Dog Shelter. Better yet, plan a trip and bring home your new best friend. Keith loved dogs and they loved him. He would want you to experience that unconditional love and friendship.
