Katharine A. Savedge, 27, of Akron passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Akron City Hospital. She was born May 26, 1993 in Cape Canaveral, Florida the daughter of Jack F. and Patti Jean (Moore) Savedge.
Katharine was raised in Florida before moving to Bellevue, Ohio. She was a 2012 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School and attending Malone University where she studied special education. Katie was employed as an assistant business analyst for First Energy Corp. Katie carried a bright light and smile with her wherever she went and had a kind and sweet heart to others. She was involved in numerous mission projects through First Presbyterian Church in Sandusky. She loved history and the arts and enjoyed trips to the Smithsonian as well as listening to Phantom of the Opera. She adored her two cats as well as reading. Katie was currently planning her wedding with her fiancé, Kyle.
Katie is survived by her father, Jack F. Savedge of Bellevue; twin brother whom she adored, Steven Savedge of Bellevue; fiancé, Kyle Millegan of Akron; uncle and aunt, Lewis B. and Linda F. Savedge of Barhamsville, VA ; God parents, John and Ann Maninga of Hampton, VA and their daughter Lauren; and Steven Montgomery of Lakeland, FL along with numerous friends from Malone University and co-workers of FirstEnergy Corp.
Katharine is preceded in death by her mother, Patti Jean Savedge on November 8, 2002.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 1 p.m. until a funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
