Kathryn M. Aldrich, age 76 of Clyde, OH, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton, OH. Kathy was born July 19, 1949, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Sidney Marcus, Jr. and Lois (Hess) Marcus.
Kathy was a devoted member of Compass Church of God in Clyde, where her faith was a guiding presence throughout her life. She dedicated many years of compassionate service as a registered nurse, caring for countless patients at Fremont Memorial Hospital, The Bellevue Hospital, Heinz, and The Willows of Bellevue. Kathy found great joy in expressing her creativity through crafts, especially sewing. She lovingly handcrafted countless gifts for her family and friends, sharing not only her talents but also her generous heart with those she loved. She also cherished time spent camping, embracing the peace and beauty of the outdoors while making treasured memories with those closest to her. Kathy's kindness, caring spirit, and selfless love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom Aldrich of Clyde, whom she married September 6, 1969; children: Tom (Amy) Aldrich of Portage, IN, Gregg (Abby) Aldrich of Clyde, and Jim Aldrich of Clyde; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Aldrich of LaFare, France; and siblings: Sid (Suzanna) Marcus of Waldorf, MD, Mike (Becky) Marcus of Mechanicsville, MD, Wendy Calvin of Bridgeville, DE, Sue (Carl) Gray of Oakland, MD, and Cindy (Jim) Camp of Lovethville, MD.
In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her son, Aaron Aldrich, and brother and sister-in-law, John (Wendy Joy) Marcus.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11:00am until a funeral service beginning at 1:00pm at Compass Church of God, 1461 S Main St, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
