Kathleen West

Kathleen West, 61, of Bellevue passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.  She was born November 11, 1961 in Bellevue the daughter of Lester J. and Winona Marie (Orwig) Hill.

Kathy enjoyed helping and taking care of others.  She spent the last 19 years as a nurses aide at Extended Family Assisted Living in Bellevue and before that was a nurses aide at The Arbors at Clyde.  She loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed camping and listening to music.

She married Lloyd F. West on March 31, 1979 in Sandusky; He preceded her in death in January 2022.

She is survived by her two sons: Timothy West and Christopher (Katherine) West; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Griggs; grandchildren: Simara Fannin, Sophia West, Payton and Parker West, Tyler Griggs, Meagan Griggs, Alyssa Griggs, and Dominic Griggs; brother, Leslie (Chris) Hill; and sisters, Mary (Michael) Myers, and Deborah (Daniel) Barbosa.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hill; and sister, Janet Leber.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 26, 2022 from Noon until a funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A celebration of life will follow services at the Castalia Lions Club, 607 N Washington St., Castalia.
