Kathleen M. Meyer

Kathleen Mary Meyer age 87 of Bellevue passed away in her home Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Bellevue.   She was born on Christmas day in 1933 in Sherman Township to the parents of Carl and Veronica (Ringlein) Stieber.

She was a lifetime homemaker and a nurse’s aide at the St. Francis Health Centre in Green Springs for over twenty years.

Kathleen was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a long-time member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society in Marywood.   She enjoyed playing cards, reading, visiting local casinos, making quilts and spending time with family and friends.

She married Walter Frances Meyer on January 2, 1956 at St. Alphonsus Church in Peru.   She joined Walter at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, having their first child.   They returned to Marywood to farm and raise their family, having three more children.  Walter preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include her children:  Kenneth (Connie) Meyer of Lakeville, MN, Gerald Meyer of Tucson, AZ, Karen (Robert) Fogle of Bellevue and Linda (Tim) McCoy.   She had three granddaughters, Abby Meyer, Amelia Meyer and Erica Fogle and one great-granddaughter Elizabeth Fogle.  

Friends will be received Tuesday, Sep. 21, 2021 from 5 – 7 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.  A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Sep. 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue.  Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Marywood.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.
