Katherine Acierno

On Friday, July 17, 2020, Katherine Jean Acierno, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 72. Katherine was born on September 22, 1947 in Sandusky, Ohio to Willard and Pauline (Wall) Timmons. 

On October 17, 1969 she married Thomas Acierno and raised twin daughters, Tiffany and Tammy.  Katherine received her Bachelors of Science degree from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio, December 1996.

Katherine loved her family and friends whom she celebrated through the holidays, definitely Halloween and Christmas.  She decorated for these occasions making her home warm and inviting. Katherine cherished her Irish heritage and traced her lineage back over 150 years to Ireland. Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day was always filled with enjoyment and gave her a sense of pride of who she was. Katherine was a hero in the eyes of her pets who were found in rough conditions but adopted by her, with love.  They gave her such joy and fulfillment in life, and she loved them unconditionally.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Willard, her mother, Pauline, sisters, Jane, Patricia, Cecilia, Pauline, Christine, and brothers, Gary and Michael.  She is survived by her children, Tiffany and Tammy, grandchildren, Spencer and Remington, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 25, at Foos & Foos Funeral Home, Yorkshire Place, Bellevue at 11 a.m.
