Julie Ann Kuhn, 57, of Arcadia, Florida and formerly of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born March 1, 1968 in Sandusky, Ohio the daughter of Frederick Ries and Marilyn Weilnau.
Julie, a graduate of Bellevue High School in the Class of 1986, dedicated over 30 years of service to the Ford Motor Company. A proud member of UAW 1216 and UAW 862, she cherished her time with family and friends. Julie had a great love for animals, especially her dogs, Teddy and Bear, whom she affectionately called "Her Boys." She embraced farm life and enjoyed the tranquility of the countryside, and her passion for travel took her to many places. A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Julie was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her four sons: Dustin Kuhn of Clyde, Derek (Megan) Kuhn of Bellevue, Dylan (Courtney) Kuhn of Clyde, and Dalton “DJ” (Tiffany Bragg) Kuhn of Clyde; grandchildren: Zain Kuhn, Paige Kuhn, Nevin Monteverde, A. Kuhn, Mia Baker, Max Baker, and Ryla Kuhn; mother, Marilyn Weilnau; siblings: Jay (Shelly) Ries of Grand Rapids, MI, Anna (Rick) Meyer of Bellevue, and Tony Ries of Bellevue; lifelong friends, Marcy Carr of Louisville, KY and Vicki Banks of Arcadia, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Ries; paternal grandparents, Carl and Betty Ries; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Marie Weilnau.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 10 from Noon until a memorial service begins at 3 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
