Judy (Judith) Herman, 88, of Bellevue passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Stein Hospice Care Center. She was born September 19, 1936, in Bellevue, the daughter of Dick and Marge (Furlong) Godfrey.
Judy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue and the Altar Rosary Society. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and St. Patrick's Day, and enjoyed having holiday parties highlighted by her cooking and baking skills. At home, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She worked as an aide at St. John’s Nursery School which was her dream job because of her love of children and also in the cafeteria at Immaculate Conception. Judy was very proud of her Irish heritage, and was able to travel to see her beloved country with two of her children.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Nic) McNutt; daughters: Tracy (Tom) Harvey, Debbie Riggs, Cindy Herman, Laurie (Bob) Thurston, and Jen Herman; 4 grandchildren: Andrea (Eric) Rodriguez, Jamie (Chris) Bellestri, Caitlyn (Adam) Harder, and Garrett (Megan) Harvey; 4 great-grandchildren: Angelina Rodriguez, Ariana Rodriguez, Vincent Bellestri, and Giorgio Bellestri; great-great granddaughter, Elliana Rodriguez; brother, Mike (Cheryl) Godfrey; and sister-in-law, Barb Godfrey.
In addition to her parents; She is preceded in death by her husbands, Glen McNutt in 1970 and Robert Herman in 2009; daughter, Sharon McGinn; brother, Terry Godfrey; and grandson, Nathan Richardson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Sorrowful Mother Shrine, or Stein Hospice.
