Judy Mae (Matz) DeWitt, 79, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, May 9th 2024 at her home. She was born August, 19th 1944 in Bellevue, Ohio the daughter of Edmund D. Matz and Mary E. (Wetzel) Matz.
Judy graduated from Bellevue High School in 1962. She married Larry John DeWitt in February 1965. Having been born and raised in Bellevue, Ohio she was employed by multiple manufacturing companies in the area while raising her family. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue. After her retirement, she enjoyed exercising with her friends at the Bellevue Rec Center. Judy loved animals and was never without a dog. She leaves behind her 14 year old husky, Steel. She was extremely blessed and took pride in her 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her daughters: Tonya (DeWitt) Schaffer. Tamara (Jude) Mariea, Tina (DeWitt) Turner; three sons: Todd (Amy) DeWitt, Thomas (Natalie) DeWitt, Troy DeWitt; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edmund D. (Nancy) Matz Jr., and a sister Barbara (William) Marquardt.
Judy is preceded in death by her father Edmund D. Matz; Mother Mary E. (Wetzel) Matz. Granddaughter, Chloe Noelle Mariea; son-in-law, Christopher Turner.
A graveside service will be held at the Flat Rock cemetery near Seneca Caverns at 12pm May 17th 2024.
