Joyce F. (Jones) Sirene

Joyce F. Sirene, age 74 of Clyde, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Joyce was born May 23, 1950, in Mount Sterling, OH, the daughter of the late Talton and Opal (Caldwell) Jones.

Joyce was a tremendous lady who took on a lot of responsibilities that weren’t necessarily hers, but she chose take them on anyways. It is her will and determination that survives in all of us that will get us through the tough times, and help us go on with life. She had a huge family that called her daily to keep up with everything happening in her life which was something she enjoyed. When we lost our brothers many years apart, she was the glue that held the rest of us together. She was one of the toughest ladies I know who cared about her whole family no matter how you were related to her. She had many friends who she met over the years who also stayed in touch with her because she was the type of person who just made you feel good to be around. Before she passed she told me to tell everyone who wasn’t able to see her in the last days that she loved you all, as we all do, too. She loved living with Cecelia, Angela, Nadine, and Hannah. They were quite the crew together who had lots of funny moments together. My mom will be missed by so many, but we know she will never be far away. We love you, mom. Rest In Peace.

Joyce is survived by her children: Brian (Rachel) Sirene of Sandusky, and Cecelia Sirene of Clyde; grandchildren: Brittany Lucas, Cheyenne Smith, Tylor Sirene, Mikaylah Sirene, Chasity Sirene, Angela Sirene, and Hannah Sirene; great-grandchildren: Eli, Alaina, Weston, Theo, Isaac, Kaiser, Gabby, and another on the way; Aunts and Uncles: Sue Jones, Irene (Bud) Downs, Charlene Patton, Marvin Caldwell, and Willie Caldwell; nephews: Tim and Billy Jones; and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Michael David Sirene, whom she married on May 29, 1968; sons: Tony and T.J. Sirene; and siblings: Barb Thompson and Glenna Jones.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 11:00am until a funeral service beginning at 1:00pm, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Sackett Cemetery in Marblehead, OH.
