Jordan Lindsey, 38, of Mantel, Germany and formerly of Bellevue died Saturday, December 2, 2023 at his home of natural causes. He was born September 1, 1985 in Norwalk, Ohio the son of Roger and Nicole (Mowery) Lindsey.
Jordan was a 2004 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. In 2009, he became the fourth generation of his family to serve our country in the United States Army. During his enlistment, Jordan served two tours in Afghanistan. He served until 2017 when he was medically discharged, but continued to work for Armed Forces Exchange Services in Germany.
Despite living overseas, Jordan was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved spending his time playing video games online while chatting with his friends. He was also a lifelong passionate follower of professional wrestling.
Jordan married Stephanie Kurz on September 11, 2021 in Germany; She survives along with his son, Benedict; daughters, Kendra and Alyssa; parents, Roger and Nicole Lindsey of Bellevue; brother, Jeremiah (Heather) Lindsey of Canal Winchester; sisters, Veronica Bean of Bellevue and Vanessa Lindsey of Bellevue; grandparents, David and Sue Weiland of Bellevue and Patricia Lindsey of Bellevue; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jordan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Mowery and Clayton Lindsey.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 1 pm until a funeral service with military honors begins at 3 pm at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. The family requests those in attendance please wear your favorite Cleveland Browns or Ohio State apparel.
Jordan loved his time in the military and cared for his fellow veterans. He would be honored if memorials were made to Stop Soldier Suicide, P.O. Box 110605, Durham, NC 27709 or to any other veteran based charity.
