John S. Nobles

John S. Nobles, age 71 of Clyde, OH, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. John was born December 19, 1953, in Bellevue, OH, the son of the late Walter Nobles, Jr. and Ruthanna (Spraw) Nobles. 

John dedicated his career to hard work and teaching. He spent 25 years with Whirlpool, 15 years with Owens Illinois in Toledo, and later shared his knowledge as a business administration instructor at Ohio University for five years until his retirement in 2021. Beyond his professional life, John found joy in golfing, taking one-day trips around Ohio, and most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a devoted family man whose greatest pride was the love he had for his family.

John is survived by his wife, Deann (Wise) Nobles, whom he married August 9, 1974; children: Heather (Ryan) Thomas of Boynton Beach, FL; Jason (RaeAnn) Nobles of Clyde, and Bryan (Kathy) Nobles of Bellevue; grandchildren: Landen, Brayden, Graysen, Everett, and Everly Nobles; and siblings: Robert (Beverly) Nobles of Avon Lake, OH, Susan (Michael) Caudill of Clyde, and Michael (Traci) Nobles of Marysville, OH.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, Joan Chagnon; father-in-law, Doyle Wise, Sr.; mother-in-law, Joanne Wise; and brother-in-law, Doyle Wise, Jr.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4-7pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde, 609 Vine St, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
