John R. Cohen, 33, of Clyde passed away at his home on November 6, 2023. He was born June 14, 1990 in Fargo, North Dakota the son of David and Christine Cohen.
John honorably served in his beloved United States Marine Corp from 2009 until 2015 separating as a Corporal. He was employed at the Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde as a metrologist after being promoted from working on the assembly line.
John is survived by his parents and sister, Samantha Cohen, all of Eagle Point, Oregon.
John enjoyed Scuba diving, motorcycle riding, shooting at the local range, rollercoaster rides, working on his vintage car, helping/spending time with friends and loving on his rescued cat Rocco.
We will miss his infectious laugh, great hugs and loving, helpful nature. He will be sorely missed by both family and friends.
A memorial gathering will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16 at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde, Ohio 43410. Military honors will be rendered at 1 p.m.
Rather than flowers, John’s family requests donations in John’s honor made to: Give an Hour. This organization provides free and confidential mental health support to military, veterans, and their loved ones across the United States.
