John E. Battelline, 68, of Bellevue passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at The Bellevue Hospital. John was born May 7, 1953 in Bellevue the son of John R. and Avis Jewell (Adams) Battelline.
John was a graduate of Bellevue High School and worked as a switchman for Norfolk & Southern Railroad until retiring. He was an avid card collector and enjoyed using his metal detector to find items. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns.
John married Christie (French) Battelline on July 13, 1974 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue; She survives, along with their two sons, Nathan (Kate) Battelline of Bellevue and Christopher (Julie) Battelline of Springboro; 5 grandchildren: Madison, Chase, Coby, Brayden, and Natalie; two brothers: Ron (Jodi) Battelline of Bellevue and Robert (Kelly) Battelline of Bellevue; and sister, Marilyn Denise (Leonard) Berkey of Bellevue.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jessica Battelline.
At John’s request there will be no services. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
