Joanne M. (Roberts) Wise

Joanne M. Wise, age 85 of Clyde, OH, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, at The Willows of Bellevue. Joanne was born August 10, 1939, in Clyde, the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Rudicel) Roberts.

Joanne was a devoted and loving woman whose greatest joys in life came from simple pleasures and time spent with those she loved. She was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Football. She had a passion for puzzles of all kinds and found great joy in the quiet satisfaction they brought. Joanne especially cherished the moments she spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and guidance.

For many years, Joanne served as a Sunday School teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clyde, where she faithfully shared her love for God with generations of children. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, enjoying the friendships, fun, and fellowship it offered. Joanne's life was a beautiful example of kindness, faith, and devotion—qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.

Joanne is survived by her children: Deann (John) Nobles of Clyde, Brenda (Rick) Funk of Clyde, Mike (Lori) Wise of Fremont, and Kim (Terry) Miracle of Clyde; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wise; grandchildren: Heather (Ryan) Thomas, Jason (Rae Ann) Nobles, Bryan (Kathy) Nobles, Staci (Manuel) Garcia, Abbie (Lee) Swartz, Rich (Jessie) Funk, Jacob (Cat) Funk, Corey (Stephanie) Wise, Megan (Spencer) Conklin, Justin (Kimberley DePottey) Miracle, Kristy (Terrell) Thomas, Tara (Crimson) Miracle, Brandy (Kris) Krieder, Katie (Joe Brunner) Dukels, Mindy (Casey Williams) Young, and Nettisha (William) Seitz; 29 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob Roberts.

In addition to her parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Wise Sr.; son, Doyle Wise Jr.; great-granddaughter, Cassandra Young; and sisters: Betty Haslinger and Linda Stuart.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 4-7:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
