Joann (Copsey) Laub, 79, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at The Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital. She was born September 12, 1941, in Flat Rock, Ohio the daughter of Lowell and Leona (Clarkson) Copsey.
Joann grew up in Flat Rock and attended Thompson School and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Flat Rock.
Joann truly enjoyed her years of catering with Edith Morfier for Rotary Luncheons and working as a cake decorator at Hogue’s IGA Bakery. She also worked for Schindley Flower Shop and Huron products in her earlier years.
She married Arnold Laub on February 3, 1957; He preceded her in death in 2004.
Joann is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Julie) Laub of Charlotte, NC and Rick Laub of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Vicki (Scott) Schoen of Bellevue; 2 grandchildren: Aaron (Ashley) Schoen of Norwalk and Heather (Clint) Warner of Powell, Ohio; 2 step grandchildren: Robert and Kasey of Charlotte, NC; 5 great grandchildren: Adelina, Luca, and Liona Warner and Amree and Austyn Schoen; and three sisters-in-law, Louise Keller, Bonnie Laub, and Marjorie Smith.
Joann is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters: Janet Icsman and Joyce Wickman; and three nephews, Keith and Kevin Wickman and Gary Davenport.
She always showed incredible love and gratitude for her nephew and niece, Bob and Becky Smeltz; as well as her wonderful neighbors, Tom and Mary Gardner, Lois Barnett, Peggy and Paul Missler, and “Gibby”.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 4, 2021, from 9 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11 a.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
