Jeremiah "Jerry" Lynn Yarger, age 70 of Clyde, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Majestic Care of Clyde. Jerry was born December 3, 1954, in Springfield OH, the son of the late David and Crystal Yarger.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during both the Vietnam and Korean wars, embodying strength, dedication, and honor. A true outdoorsman at heart, he found peace in nature—especially while fishing, one of his favorite pastimes. Jerry was an avid marksman who loved practicing his shooting skills and sharing his passion with others.
Known for his big personality and infectious sense of humor, Jerry was incredibly social and never missed a chance to crack a joke or make someone laugh. He had a deep love for fireworks and could often be found enjoying the spectacle with a smile on his face. He was also a fan of professional wrestling, old Westerns, and classic oldies music, which brought him joy throughout his life.
Jerry will be remembered for his larger-than-life spirit, his service and sacrifice, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Jerry is survived by his children: Jeremiah Yarger, Jacob Yarger, Tammy McNutt, David Yarger, Crystal (John) Petrella, and Jonathan Yarger; many grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughter; and beloved mother of Jeremiah and Jacob, Linda Smith.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Yarger.
Services for Jerry will be held privately.
