Jay Howard Peters

Jay Howard Peters, 79, of Bellevue passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Bellevue Care Center.  He was born May 16, 1945, in Clinton, Iowa the son of John H. and Helen (Coulson) Peters.

Jay was an electrician by trade.  He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, and Eagles.  He loved the outdoors and spending his time hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his beloved companion of 35 years, Mary Thomas of Bellevue; son, Joseph Nortman; 3 granddaughters; brother, Ken (Patricia) Peters; sister, Virginia Jones; sister-in-law, Wanda Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jay is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Peters; and sisters, Donna Soucinek and Betty Taylor.

Private services will be held.
