Jannette (Andrews) Farris

Jannette Farris (Andrews), age 86, of Fremont, OH, passed away on January 25, 2026 at her residence. Jannette was born in Flat Rock, OH, the daughter of the late Allen and Adah Glee (Taber) Andrews. 

Jannette devoted many years of her life to serving others through her work at Flat Rock Children’s Home, where her kindness and steady presence touched countless lives. In her spare time, she found joy in creative pleasures such as painting, solving crosswords and puzzles, and building a collection of ceramic birds that reflected her love for beauty and detail. Jannette was also a member of Flat Rock Ebenezer Church. She will be remembered for her compassion, creativity, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.

Jannette is survived by her children, David (Rebecca) Farris, Tamera McIntyre, and Cindy (Scott) Work; grandchildren, Dylan (Elizabeth) Work, Ronee (Brad) Rice, Steven and Ashley McIntrye, and Ryan (Tiffany) Ladd; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, and Sawyer Rice and Madison Ladd; brothers, Jim Andrews, Ken (Glenda) Andrews, Ronnie (Kathy) Andrews, and Dean (Sandy) Andrews.

In addition to her parents, Jannette is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Dave Farris; brothers, Dick, George, and Dale Andrews; son-in-law, Douglas McIntyre; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Andrews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. Following the service, a private committal will take place at Flat Rock Cemetery.
