Janice (Adams) Vargo

Janice (Adams) Vargo, 84, of Norwalk passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Norwalk Memorial Home.  She was born July 11, 1940 in Bellevue the daughter of Arley and Estie Adams.

Janice was a kind-hearted, compassionate person and worked in the medical field for many years in Fremont, Bellevue and the Ohio Veterans Home.  She also worked as a school bus driver and playground attendant in Fremont for many years.  She loved to sew, quilt, paint, crochet and was also an excellent cook.

She is survived by her son, Jay (Theresa) Hensley of Fremont; grandchildren: Erin (Matt) Voland of Franklin, IN and Amanda (Matt) Vecchio of Twinsburg; great grandchildren: Malia, Jordyn, and Amaya; sisters: Glenda (Merrill) Smith, Patricia Nation, and Avis (Dennis) Kreais; sister-in-law, Alice Adams; and brother-in-law, Charles Sanderson.

In addition to her parents, She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vargo, who passed away in November 2024; son, Barry Hensley; brother, James “Joe” Adams; sisters, Virginia Sanderson and Greta Dick; and brother-in-law, Roger Dick.

Private services will be held with burial in Flat Rock Cemetery.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
