Janice (Reed) Ranzenberger

Janice Ranzenberger, age 82 of Clyde, OH, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. She was born April 21, 1943, in Lorain, OH, the daughter of the late Harman Reed Jr. and Alice Marie (Benson) Reed. 

Janice worked for many years at Whirlpool in Clyde, where she was employed as a cook in the cafeteria. She enjoyed her work and the people she met along the way. In her free time, Janice loved going camping and spending time outdoors. She also enjoyed collecting decorative bells, a hobby that brought her great enjoyment. She will be remembered for her kindness and the happiness she found in life’s simple pleasures.

Janice is survived by her siblings: Barbara Kollat of Clyde, and Bruce (Caroline) Reed of Fremont; nieces and nephews: Buddy Albert of Findlay, Sue Hoffman of Fremont, Michael (Rosa) Albert of Clyde, Brian Reed of Fremont, and Sara Byers of Fremont; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her husband Gerhard Ranzenberger, whom she married on March 31, 1979, in Fremont.

Services for Janice will be held privately.
