Janet (Krugman) Santana

Janet Santana, 80, of Monroeville passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at her home.  She was born January 21, 1944 in Elyria, Ohio the daughter of Oscar and Lillian (Crist) Krugman and was married to her late husband, Nick Santana for over 40 years.  

Janet retired from the Monroeville Public Library, where she served as its director.  She loved nature and animals, especially wolves and her cat Gus.  She was an avid reader and fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes football.  A loving mother and grandmother, Janet was always involved in supporting their endeavors.

She is survived by her two daughters: Christine (Chris) Smith and Leslie (Corbett) Ritzman; grandchildren: Glenn (Abby) Ritzman, Matt (Katie) Ritzman, Shelby Ritzman, Nicole (Caleb) Smith and Noah (Hannah) Smith; one great grandchild, Brady Ritzman with another expected next month; nephew, Mark Raab; and niece, Sara Muller.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Krugman; sisters, Diane Krugman and Carol Raab; and brother-in-law, Leo Raab.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where a funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
