James "Jim" H. Thomson

James “Jim” Herman Thomson, age 87 of Clyde, OH, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. Jim was born April 14, 1937, in Fremont, OH, the son of the late Lawrence and Ester (Drew) Thomson.

Jim was the owner of Limerick Sales for 16 years and then going into the contracting business as Thomson Builders. He enjoyed fishing and boating and spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ruthann (Driscoll) Thomson, whom he married October 27, 1956, in Bellevue, OH; daughters: Victoria (Jay) Rahrig of Monroeville, OH, and Tracy (Erwin) Drown of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Kory Drown, Zac Akers, and Leslie Friend; 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Brian (Alice) Thomson of Cape Coral Florida, Carolyn (Jim) Smallets of Fremont, OH, and Marsha (Ray) Laurent of Oregon.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Thomson.

Services for Jim will be held privately.
