James "Jim" R. Dise

James “Jim” R. Dise, age 82 of Bellevue, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at Elmwood at the Shawhan in Tiffin. Jim was born June 23, 1937 in Fremont the son of the late Daniel and Mildred (Florence) Dise.

Jim worked at Ford Motor Co. for 44 years and was a farmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the 3rd and 4th Degrees of the Knights of Columbus, the Bellevue Elks Lodge, the Buckeye Allis Club Inc., and the Townsend Friendly Couples. Jim enjoyed antiquing, trips to the casinos, and especially going to Aruba.

Jim is survived by his wife, Martha (Foos) Dise of Bellevue, whom he married December 30, 1978 at Immaculate Conception Church; children: Deb Belcher of Clyde, Lori (Steve) Thomas of Festus, MO, Teresa (Doug Sommers) Frazier of Vermillion, Jean (Scott Berger) Gerber of Clyde, Tracey (Andy) Stritmatter of Lewis Center, and Scott (Aimee) Shaver of Mansfield; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles (Denise Bossetti) Dise of Huron, and Mary Jane (Jay) Bickley of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son, Bob Shaver, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Friends will be received Monday, June 15, 2020 from 6-8:00pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Pl, Bellevue, OH 44811. During the visitation, the Knights of Columbus honor guard will be present from 7-8:00pm and will conclude with the Chalice Ceremony at 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E Center St, Bellevue, OH 44811. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s honor to Immaculate Conception Church, or to Bishop Machebeuf Chapter #813 4th degree Sandusky, Ohio.
