James W. Hanna

James W. Hanna, 77, of Bellevue, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.  He was born July 19, 1947 in Kodiak, AK the son of Lionel Hanna and Georgia (Wright) Hanna.

Jim proudly served in the United States Navy and was a proud member of First Baptist Church in Clyde; He had a heart filled with love for the Lord, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.    Jim loved a good conversation and never met a stranger.  He attended over 85 classic rock concerts featuring his favorite bands; trips to Myrtle Beach where he would make sandcastles for any kid on the beach; cheering on the Michigan Wolverines on Saturdays, and serving as the family photographer anytime around his family.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Alley) Hanna, whom he married June 15, 2001 in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; Children: Tracy Hanna of Flint, MI, Yvette Berecz of Tiffin, Tiffanie (Joe) Henderson of Rossford, Stephan Frazier of Bellevue, and Matthew Frazier of Bellevue;  grandchildren: Lindsay Whitehead, Sara (Vince) Anway, Michaela Hass, Aaron Hanna, Grant Dever, Lauryn Henderson, Maximus Henderson, Jacolynne Smithson-Frazier, Jeleah Smithson, Cody Morgan, Misti Hanna, and Mandi Hanna; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Cindy (Ed) Breeding of Fenton, MI, Cheryl West of Montrose, MI, Penny (Dallas) Robinson of Belmont, MI, and Tom (Sharon) Rose of Conway, AR; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Georgia Rose; sister, Brenda Hamp; daughter, Tamara Hanna; granddaughter, Felecia Hanna; and in-laws, Milford and Dora Alley.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde.  Burial with military honors will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
