James A. Good, 79, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Bellevue Hospital. He was born September 25, 1941, in Bellevue to James I. and Esther E. (Hintz) Good.
A 1959 graduate of Thompson High School, James grew up on his family’s farm in rural Fireside. He worked as a farmer and later in the Maintenance Department at Cedar Point until his retirement. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather that loved spending time with his family; he was happily married to his wife Linda for 37 years.
He answered to many names: “Jimmy”, “Jim”, “Dad”, “Poppy”, and “Pop Pop”. James enjoyed classic cars and farm machinery, listening to music and had an encyclopedic knowledge of anything and everything. He was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside. Throughout his life he was associated with many organizations among those being the Bellevue Masonic Lodge and the Ruritan club (Thompson chapter).
James is survived by his wife, Linda (Frost) Good of Bellevue, whom he married June 25, 1983 at Zion United Church of Christ in Bellevue; children: Jimmy (Sarah) Good of Edgewater, MD, and Corinne Good of Seven Hills, OH; granddaughter, Zoey Good; and his brother, David Good of Indiana.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
