James F. Avery, age 88 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home. James was born August 31, 1932 in Bellevue the son of the late Myron and Irene (Franklin) Avery.
He retired in 2000 from the Clyde Savings Bank after 30 years of service. He was also part of the Clydescope Economic Development Corporation and served on the Bellevue Hospital Board of Directors. Jim was a member of numerous organizations including Monticello Lodge #244, Zenobia Shrine and the Clyde Kiwanis Club. In his spare time, he loved golfing and was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Clyde Fliers.
James is survived by his children: Greg Avery of Clyde, James (Deborah) Avery of Hoover, AL, and Lisa (Stephen) Sanders of Bealeton, VA; and grandchildren: Garrett Sanders, Rafe Sanders, Dalen Sanders, and Hollis Avery.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Schoewe) Avery; and siblings: Edmund Avery, Richard Avery, and Helen Schlegel.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
