Helen Marie Helman, 92, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born December 13, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of William and Marie (Fischer) Munsey.
Helen was a resident of Bellevue since 1966 and a member of First United Methodist Church in Bellevue. She was also a member of the Corinthian Chapter #393, Order of the Eastern Star.
Helen was a homemaker. In earlier years, she enjoyed needlepoint, golfing, and playing cards and bingo. She was an avid football fan, rooting especially for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. She loved being a grandmother, especially as her three grandsons were growing up. In the last three years, she delighted in showing people the most recent pictures of her great-granddaughter.
She married John W. Helman on August 29, 1952; He preceded her in death on January 10, 2006.
She is survived by her two children, Cynthia (Nancy Lange) Helman of Haslett, Michigan and Paul (Cris) Helman of Norwalk, Ohio; grandchildren: Bradley (Katrina) Helman of Seffner, Florida, Brice (Mei) Helman of Orlando, Florida, and Brandon Helman of Bellevue; and great granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Helman; and siblings, Dr. William Munsey of Westerville, Ohio and sister, Marjorie Dildine of Columbus, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 901 Northwest Street, Bellevue where a funeral service officiated by Pastor Justin Jump will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.
