Harry “Jim” Culler, age 80, of Vermilion and formerly of Bellevue, passed away peacefully at his lakefront home in Vermilion on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Born on October 28, 1944, in Bellevue, Jim was the son of the late Harry Elvin “Al” and Annabel (Ball) Culler. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Findlay College, where he also played football — a testament to his drive and team spirit.
Jim dedicated much of his professional life to real estate appraisal and also shared his knowledge as a teacher at Vanguard Sentinel Career and Technology Center in Fremont. He served his community as a former member of Bellevue City Council and was always proud of the town he called home for so many years.
An avid golfer, Jim was a longtime member of the Fremont Country Club. His passion for golf was well known among his friends and family, and the course was one of his favorite places to be. He also, was a member of the Bellevue Elks Club
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Sue (Ivy) Culler, whom he married on July 26, 1997; stepchildren Melissa (Eric) Jhirad and Troy Miller; and cherished grandchildren Emersyn Jhirad, Addison Miller, Carson Miller, sister, Cindy; brother – in laws; Tom Kellar and Larry Konzen.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Konzen.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A gathering will follow at Midtown Event Center, 221 E. Main St., Bellevue.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Jim’s memory.
