Obituary
Geraldine Saffell, age 90 of Clyde, OH passed away on December 24, 2021, at Spring Creek Nursing Home, Green Springs, OH. She was born October 30, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Magdalen (Hermes) Hopfinger.
Gerry was a 1949 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. She later married Jack Saffell and they enjoyed a blissful 25 years of married life. During their married life they enjoyed golfing and traveling together. Gerry was employed at Ford Motor and General Electric. She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde, OH.
She is survived by her sister, Marna (Glen) Freimark, and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 2-4:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 4:00pm, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the entire staff at Spring Creek for the wonderful care provided to Gerry.
