He later retrained in computer systems and was stationed at Moffett Field in California, where he met his future wife, Jeanne. His final duty station was in Okinawa. After his service, he continued to serve his community as a school bus driver in Bellevue for many years and later worked at the Fremont Post Office. Jerry was a lifetime member of the Bellevue VFW Post 1238. In his free time, he enjoyed antique cars, collecting model airplanes, and cheering on the Bellevue Redmen football team. His dedication to service, community, and his interests will be remembered by all who knew him.
