George Black

George Black, age 35 of Flat Rock, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his home. George was born October 2, 1989, in Toledo, OH, the son of Amy Lynn Black (Pesnell) and the late Richard Black. 

George was a true jack of all trades, a man who could fix just about anything and was always eager to learn something new. A quick study with a natural knack for figuring things out, he never backed down from a challenge. George was the kind of person who always had a smile on his face and a hand ready to help—no matter who you were or what you needed, he’d go out of his way to be there.

He had a deep love for working on cars, often found under the hood tinkering or lending his skills to friends in need. George also found joy in the outdoors—whether he was casting a line while fishing, grilling at a cookout, or relaxing by a campfire while camping with those he loved. But more than anything, George adored his children. They were the light of his life and the pride in his heart.

In addition to his mother, George is survived by his sons: Brayden, Nathaniel, and Liam; daughters: Arhieanna, Ava-Rae, Emaleigh, and Georgia; brothers: Richard (Jodi) Weltin, Jesse Black, and Austin Black; and sisters: Cassandra Walter, Shawnte’ (Enrique) Montalvo, and Leah Winke.

In addition to his father, George is preceded in death by his grandparents: Leeroy Wyss and Howard Pesnell; uncles, David Pesnell, Kim Black, and Chad Pesnell; aunt, Jeanette Aderholt.

Friends will be received on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 4:00pm until a funeral service beginning at 7:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.
