Freda F. Phipps, age 83 of Clyde, OH, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. Freda was born April 3, 1942, in Jonesville, VA, the daughter of the late Tillman and Roxie (Spurlock) Collins.
If you were lucky enough to have met our mom, you had a forever friend! She was one of a kind. To know her was to love her (and to know she was always going to tell you exactly how she felt about anything, she never held back).
She always wanted to have a good time listening to Gospel, or Bluegrass music. She enjoyed cook-outs and holidays with her great grandbabies. Besides family fun, Freda enjoyed going to casinos and Bingo. Rain, sleet, or snow she was going. She loved all the friends she acquired over the years and enjoyed chatting with them. Most of all, mom loved spending time with her 10 year old love Pepper, and her granddog LittleBit.
Freda is survived by her children: Rhonda Oles, Marilyn (Paul) Lynch, Jada (Willie) Chaffee, and Jack (Ronda) Warner, Jr., all of Clyde; grandchildren: Derek, Toby, Caleb, Dillon, Katlin, Levi, Jack Jr. III, and Leah; 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers: Eugene and Daniel Collins, both of Clyde.
In addition to her parents, Freda is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Warner, Sr., and siblings: Cora Lee Collins, Gladys Mobley, Julie Kleinow, Martha Stewart, Floyd Collins, Alla Mae Leedy, and Homer Collins.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11:00am until a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery and a luncheon held at the Clyde Moose Lodge.
