Franklin A. Veith, age 80 of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at The Bellevue Hospital. Frank was born July 22, 1944, in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late William A. and Mildred V. (Butcher) Veith.
Frank enlisted in the U. S. Army and after being discharged, he joined his brothers in Bellevue, Ohio. On July 27th 1971, Frank married Gail Mygrant in Bettsville, OH. Frank was employed for 25 years at the former Sandusky Crushed Stone. His favorite hobby was collecting and working on old/new vehicles. In April of 2001, Frank was extremely grateful to have a second chance at life and receive a heart transplant that gave him 23 extra years. Frank was known for being a medical fighter and always fought hard, as he was also a cancer survivor. He is and will always be extremely missed and loved.
Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gail Veith; sons: Ronald Veith of Germany and Duane (Crystal) Veith of Bellevue; daughter, Nada (J. Cruz) Silerio of Fremont; and grandchildren: Christian, Catalino, Matthew, Antonio, and Sara. Frank is also survived by various sister/brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his brothers: William B. and James R. Veith; grandson, Caleb Veith; Father-in-law, Keith “Pete” Mygrant; Mother-in-law, Olive R. Mygrant; and honorary brother, Roy "Pete" Guice.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 12-3pm at Ebenezer Community Church, 7500 N Seneca County Road 29, Flat Rock, OH 44828.
