Frances (Artino) Leonard

Frances M. Leonard, age 92 of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Frances was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Biago and Bessie (Luzio) Artino.

Frances married her late husband, Mario Leonard on July 22, 1943 in Florida. She retired from General Electric in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the former Club Amer-Ital.

Frances is survived by her 6 children: Paul Leonard, Victor Leonard, Richard (Ruth) Leonard, Ann (Gene) Capuano, Mario (Robbin) Leonard, and Agnes (John) Robinson; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 6 siblings: Connie (Paul) Strickfaden, Lois Barnett, Orlando Artino, Mary Moomaw, Toni (Rob) Goetz, and John Artino; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mario, Frances is preceded in death by her siblings: Joseph Artino, Clara Hayes, Theresa Breest, Frank Artino, Sam Artino, Wilma Heiser, Carl Artino, and Anthony Artino; and daughter-in-law, Claudia Long.

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 at 12:00pm, noon, at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Frances’ honor to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, 4106 State Route 269, Bellevue, OH 44811.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Bellevue Hospital Staff and Dr. Hoy for their compassionate care to their mom.
