Eugene "Gene" Bartish

Eugene “Gene” Bartish, age 69 of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his home. Gene was born September 7, 1952, in Amherst, OH, the son of the late Eugene and Donna (Coleman) Bartish.

Gene served in the United States Army stationed in Korea and was an expert in Rifle Grenade.  After his time in the service, Gene returned to Ohio and was employed at Lear, CVG, Precision Automotive and most recently Goodwill Industries where he was awarded employee of the month during the second quarter.

Gene had an avid interest in cars, big and small, he enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR Racing, John Deere tractors, and collecting hot wheels.  He loved caring for his lawn and had a love of all animals especially his pets: Buster, Daisy, Radar and Hooch.

Gene is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Caldwell) Bartish, whom he married on October 8, 2005 in Bellevue; children: Michael (Cheri) Bartish, Angie (Tom) Satterfield, Katie Bartish, Elizabeth Bartish, Brittny Bartish, Jason (Erin) Caldwell, Joseph Caldwell, and Joshua (Katherine) Caldwell; grandchildren: Bailey (Logan) Ammannati, Mikaila Bartish, Quentin Bartish, Ryan (Makenzie) Veliz, Elidia Veliz, Brandon Veliz, Breanne Veliz, Kameron O’Shea, Julia O’Shea, Dean O’Shea, Vincent White, Alyssa White, Connor Caldwell, Lillian Caldwell, Aurora Caldwell, and Harper Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Baby Ammannati due in August, Layne Veliz, and Theo Veliz; siblings: Cindy (Charles) Thomas, Paul E. Bartish, and Darrell (Denise) Gray; and best friends: Richard (Tammy) Schippel, Chad (Lou Ann) Cover, and David (Jennifer) Barnard.

In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his sister, Karen (German) Galvan; brother, Paul M. Bartish; grandparents; aunts; and uncles.

Services for Gene will be held privately.
