Erika Wott, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 50. Erika was born on May 29, 1973, in Fremont, to Mark and Jill Wott.
Erika had an infectious laugh and she excelled academically. Throughout her life journey, Erika fought against her addiction, seeking solace in moments of clarity and seeking help when she could. Her battle was not without its setbacks.
Although Erika’s life was unexpectedly cut short, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is finally at peace. May her memory serve as a reminder of the importance of compassion and support for those struggling with addiction.
Erika is survived by her mother, Jill Wott, and a number of siblings: Kelly (Ed) Baker, Robin (Greg) Reinhold, Wendy (Chris) Speelman, Brett (Jessie) Wott, Mandy Wott, Adam (Nicole) Wott, and Zach (Brittany) Wott. She is also survived by two of her children, Brandyce Wott and Bralyn Gregg (Donnie), along with her grandchildren, Jayr and Stella.
Erika is proceeded in death by her father, Mark Wott, step-father, Bill Wott, and her son, Bryce Williamson.
She will be missed by her extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 5:30pm until a memorial service beginning at 6:30pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Erika’s honor to a local addiction recovery program called, “Roar for Recovery.” Roar for Recovery has an account with Croghan Colonial Bank.
Rest in peace, dear Erika. Your beautiful spirit will forever be remembered and cherished in our hearts.
