Emily J. Toy

Emily J. Toy, age 28 of Clyde, OH, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home. Emily was born January 29, 1998, in Fremont, OH, the daughter of Keith and Julie (Bentrim) Toy. 

Emily will be remembered for her bright spirit and the simple joys that brought her happiness each day. She loved playing tennis, always enjoying the energy and fun the game brought into her life. Emily also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved cats and kittens, who were constant companions and brought her great comfort and joy.

Above all, Emily cherished her family, particularly her brother Matthew, whom she loved dearly and truly adored. She treasured the time they spent together and the special bond they shared. Emily also loved being with her friends, laughing, talking, and making memories that will be held close by those who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and love for the people and animals around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by her brother, Matthew Toy of Clyde; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many dear friends. 

Emily is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Judy Johnson and Ralph Bentrim; paternal grandparents: Helen and Bob Toy, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents: Cecil and Lila St. Clair and Martha Wood; and paternal great-grandparents: Frank and Helen Toy and Pearl and Everett Curless. 

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. 

Memorial donations may be made in Emily’s honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 315 N River Rd, Fremont, OH 43420, or to the donor's favorite charity.
