Elaine Gilbert

Elaine Gilbert, 67, of Bellevue went to her eternal home in heaven Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.  She was born September 22, 1950 in Fremont, the daughter of Antonio “Tony” Artino and Mary Lou (Hampsher) Artino-Fox.

Elaine worked at St. Bernadine at Our Lady of the Pines and Elmwood in Fremont.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Gilbert, whom she married August 8, 2012 in Rapid City, South Dakota; a son, Christopher J. (Tanya) Gilbert of Bellevue; daughters, Heather C. (Raymond) Reese of Bellevue, and Melissa A. Romero of Fremont; 7 grandchildren: Collin J. Gilbert, Brendan L. Reese, Ashlynn C. Reese, Beaux D. Romero, Jenna M. Hooper, Wyatt D. Rew, and Stacie K. Graham; siblings: Terry (Leslie) Fox of Fremont and Connie (Bruce) Frederick of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held Saturday, Apr. 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Fremont Church of Nazarene, 1925 N 5th St., Fremont, OH.  Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of the Pines/St. Bernadine, Fremont; or St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center’s Home away from home.
