Edward Ray Stiltner, 63, of Clyde, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2025, passing away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Fremont, Ohio, Ed was the beloved son of the late Jack and Bertha (Blankenship) Rogers.
Ed attended Harvest Temple Christian Academy and later Clyde High School. He went on to dedicate 38 years of his life to Schrader Tire and Oil before retiring.
Ed is survived by his siblings: Ron (Judy) Stiltner, Pam Wagner, Melodie (Richard) Waggoner, and Tim Stiltner; step-siblings: Tina Mosley, Dave Rogers, and Rick Rogers; brother-in-law, Randy Slaymaker; many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Mark and Bill.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Slaymaker; brother, Greg Stiltner; sister-in-law, Mel Stiltner; and his parents.
A lifelong learner and avid book reader, Ed was a devoted Michigan Wolverines fan and loved cheering on the Clyde Fliers on Friday nights. His passion for martial arts was evident in his accomplishments – earning the rank of 4th Dan (Yondan) and the title of Fukushidoin in Japanese martial arts.
His presence, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
