Duane Evans, 82, of Bellevue passed away at ProMedica Toledo Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Born in Shelby, Ohio, on August 6, 1943, he was the son of Kenneth Evans and Florence (Marshall) Brown.
Duane dedicated his life to the farming industry, beginning his journey as a farmhand and eventually establishing Evans Sales & Service in Bellevue in 2004, where he served as President. Beyond his professional life, he was a passionate collector of farm toys and cherished memories of camping with his children and engaging in spirited water fights.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Mulvane), whom he wed on April 29, 1961, at the Plymouth Methodist Church. His legacy continues through his son, Mike (Leslie Fritz) Evans; his daughters, Nadine (John) McClenathan and Brenda (Douglas) Fannin; 6 grandchildren: Tara Paine, Courtney Osborne, Jordan Evans, Kassidi Fannin, Zachary McClenathan, and Emily Henson; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Neer, and half-sisters Darlene Dirnberg and Linda Gittinger. Duane was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Dean and David Evans.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 23, from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Bellevue City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice in Duane's memory.
